Therapists typically ask their clients lots of questions.  That's all well and good, but it's important for clients to know a little bit about their therapist too.  Choosing a therapist is an important decision.  It's my hope that this page will give you a good sense of who I am, before we even meet.

My interest in psychotherapy (also known as "talk therapy")  began in childhood, at age 13 to be exact.  While the other kids were reading junior detective novels,  I was reading "Your Erroneous Zones"  by Dr. Wayne Dyer.   My mother had read the book and suggested I read it too, and that began my lifelong love affair with psychology.

That said, my road to becoming a therapist turned out to be a long and winding one.  My first career was in nursing.  I worked in the infant nursery at two local hospitals, then eventually opened my own infant-toddler home daycare.  All the while, I was also working on my degree in Psychology, finally earning a Master's degree in Marriage and Family therapy.

A dedication to WELLNESS is the common thread running through all of my professional experience, past and present.  Helping others to experience a greater sense of well-being  is my life's work, and I'm passionate about doing a good job!

Achieving a sense of well-being is like putting together a puzzle. There are physical pieces, psychological pieces, relationship pieces, work pieces, and spiritual or philosophical pieces as well.  The better the pieces fit together, the better you will feel about yourself and your life!   Allow me to help you put the pieces together...

I've resided in Las Vegas for over 30 years.  I have over 25 years of experience in the field of human services, working with both adults and children.  I entered private practice in 2012, and became a fully licensed marriage and family therapist in 2013.  I welcome the opportunity to earn your trust by providing you with a positive and effective therapy experience that's based on your own unique needs.
